Sekiranya pada kemaluan isteri ada najis,maka hukumnya adalah haram.Perbuatan sengaja mengenakan mulut pada najis adalah haram.Sekiranya kemaluan itu bersih,maka ada dua pendapat yang terkenal.Pendapat pertama mengatakan harus kerana berdalil dengan al-Quran yang hanya mengharamkan dubur isteri bagi suami,maka semua anggota lain boleh diambil kesedapan daripadannya.

Pendapat kedua mengharamkannya kerana mulut adalah anggota wajib dipelihara daripada suatu yang tidak layak baginya kerana berdalil dengan hadis Nabi Muhammad yang bermaksud:

“Sucikan mulut-mulut kamu kerana mulut itu adalah laluan bagi al-Quran”.
